The Extricator is a spinal immobilizer extrication vest designed to be compact and easily applied to accident victims in confined spaces, such as deformed structures of automobiles, or applied following structure collapse.

The Extricator is Lightweight and compact. Weighing only 24 oz. and measuring
30" X 3" wide, The Extricator was designed for the confined space of race car cockpits. The Extricator is easily positioned and applied by one rescuer in the confined occupant spaces common in badly damaged vehicles.

Immobilization of the thoracic & C-spine is achieved by:

30" Rigid Rod Arc - Lightweight Ripstop Nylon - Complete Torso Wrap - Velcro Fasteners - Triangular Panel for Lumbo-Sacral Support.

Used with a rigid C-collar, The Extricator permits rapid immobilization in a small space, and safe extrication to a long spine immobilizer system.  

*** The Extricator must be used only with a rigid cervical collar, and the patient must be placed on a long spine immobilization system for transport following extrication.
